Abigail Head is an actor, writer, storyteller, and filmmaker based in the Charlotte area since 1998. In 2013, as a break from the seriousness of her IT consulting business, she took a weekend improv course.
Abby's weekend hobby quickly evolved into a new full-time pursuit of creative ventures. She founded the independent film company The Queen's Miscreants, got involved in several improv teams and local theater, and later co-founded the Comedy Arts Theater of Charlotte with Kevin Shimko in 2016.
In addition to running the business side of CATCh, Abby is a teacher, coach, and member of several teams, including: Soggy Naan, The Fungibles, & Descripted.
Outside of CATCh, she spends her days volunteering with the Gastonia Composite Squadron, Civil Air Patrol (formerly as the Deputy Commander for Seniors), where she has run a Point-of-Distribution center in post-Hurricane Florence and been on several search-and-rescue missions in the state. Abby also serves on the Board of Directors for the Little Theater of Gastonia as the board Vice President and the chair of the Marketing Committee.
When Abigail has some free time, she enjoys playing D&D and board games with her three boys, proselytizing for Firefly, and watching her two beloved teams play their very different forms of football: The Alabama Crimson Tide and the US National Women's Team.
